For many parents, this list is often populated with Disney movie soundtracks, but for music purists they are literally the playlist of the year.

The ABC's Georgie Hewson published a how-to guide today of what to expect and some stats on Spotify usage including Deloitte data that Australians consume some 7 hours a week of music and radio.

Additionally, Fonto's analysis of daily transactions from more than 80,000 Australians shows that 31% of Australians pay to subscribe to Spotify, with consistent loyalty over time and low seasonal variation - their customers stick with them.
